NANO METAL COLLOIDAL SOLUTIONS OF SLIVER, GOLD AND COPPER
Nano metal colloidal solutions of silver, gold and copper find diverse uses from medical, electronics and other areas. These are available in aqueous, organic or as oily solutions.
Silver Nanoparticles
Silver and silver-based products are used to control bacterial growth in various other applications. Silver nano particles gradually precipitate in solutions and emulsions and hence it is not amenable to use in cosmetics.
However, use of Silver nano particles can overcome this deficiency and provide stable cosmetic products while retaining its anti -microbial activity. The silver nano particles are highly stable, do not precipitate & remain effective for more than a year. They are thus efficient preservatives in cosmetics which do not penetrate the human skin.
Gold Nanoparticles
Gold nano particles exhibit excellent anti-bacterial, anti-fungal & anti-viral properties. They are used in cosmetic formulations like anti-aging creams and deodorants. Gold nano particles have a higher electro kinetic potential than silver nano particles and thus have little agglomeration of creams.
