AIMCOM – MWCNTs

We present powdered MWCNT (AIMCOM), directly from the reactor system by thermocatalytic method & no purification from other forms of Carbon is required. The AIMCOM, MWCNTs are intercalated with Ni nanoparticles ~ 10 nm in size, due to this, they are magnetically soft ferromagnetic having low residual magnetization.

APPLICATIONS OF MWCNTs
Use of MWCNTs in Electrostatic discharge protection in wafer processing & anti-static elastomeric components. Plastic components for automobile fuel line components & other uses are also exploitable. As plastic can be made conductive, electrostatic spray paint can be applied to automobile body parts. Also RFI shielding can also be achieved.
Cathodes of batteries can make use of MWCNTs.
Thermosetting resins when infused with MWCNTs exhibit increased stiffness & strength. Therefore they can be used as structural laminates & golf club shafts & also aerospace component manufacture.

Some commercially exploited properties of MWCNTs are as under:
